Faculty and staff can record lectures in the Lightboard Room.

Lightboard is a specialized recording room with a transparent panel that allows instructors to face their audience (the camera) while writing content on the screen. Using Lightboard: Shining a Light on Your Content with These Tips

  1. Plan ahead
    • Prepare your presentation
    • Book the room
    • Plan clothes that won't distract, green or black sweaters won't do much good if they are the same color as the screen you choose! 
  2. Take a practice pause
    • In the Lightboard Room, do a trial run with recording to Kaltura. Is everything appearing the way you planned?
    • Pause regularly to leave space for editing
  3. When in doubt, call us out!
    • Contact EdTech for support
    • Request training during your Lightboard booking
