Presenter: Jordan Vinikoor, CETL-eCampusIn this session, you will learn to ensure your Grade Center is set up to accurately record and calculate student grades within HuskyCT (Original Course View). We will cover specific settings and features including total points calculations, weighted percentage calculations, categorizing graded items, including/excluding graded items, incorporating tests/exams, assignments, discussions, as well as many other types of assessments and grades in your course. We will also cover how to send a grade column to Student Admin for midterm and final grade submission.

Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) testing
For faculty looking to move away from paper exams or Scantrons, online testing is available through HuskyCT. Online testing can be offered in the classroom or as at-home assessment. For faculty wishing to administer online testing in the classroom (BYOD testing), CETL and ITS have worked to make this easier. READ MORE
Kaltura CaptureSpace Replaced by Kaltura Capture
Kaltura is a video management platform that enables you to create and share video and audio files, either in HuskyCT or through other channels. The service includes an application that enables you to record presentations using your desktop computer and webcam. Kaltura has released a new version of this application, Kaltura Capture, and support for the previous product, Kaltura CaptureSpace, will end on May 31, 2019. After this date you will no longer be able to access CaptureSpace from within Kaltura. Moving forward please install and use Kaltura Capture when creating new videos. There is nothing you need to do with videos you previously created with CaptureSpace. MORE
